ATI Eyefinity *What you need* 3 monitor setup

every one! I am seting up Eyefinity /3 monitors . Eyefinity is where you can hook up 3 monitors and make one image ( like hoots did ) I have one 24 inch samsung monitor and i am going to get two more 24 inch samsung monitors . now i have 3 monitors ( i have a small desk) i need wallmounts

now we have a video card that can run Eyefinity and 3 monitor wile playing crysis  . now we need a adatpor so we can run 3 monitors (i dont know alot about it but hooters does if you want more info he is you ) i am geting a cheeper version of the adaptor hooters is useing , he was going to use it but he chaned his mine and got another one ( i will post both adaptors hoots and are going to use) Here is the link : (to the one pipi is useing) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=n82E16815310003

Pipy thanks for the information. If anyone is having trouble with this please ask and i can tell you exactly what physical cabling you will need. In order for this to work its not as simple as buying three monitors and a video card. There is technical specification involved. Eyefinity not only works on 2, or 3 monitors. It can utilize up to 8 monitors and yes this is a combined resolution. Supporting multiple independent display outputs simultaneously is a breeze with ATI's technology.

To make this message more effective and easier for those of you who do not understand Eyefinity. Here is the direct link to ATI/AMD website that shows every requirement for this setup and all the information on how to use this. The only part about the site that is not mentioned, is the adapter that everyone is buying to avoid the purchase of a DirectPort monitor. (Not many manufacturers make a DP monitor) Using the adapter which is "Active DP to DVI" will give you the ability to use a monitor that has DVI on the DP.

The purpose of the DP being utilized is that the video signals are routed through separate ports. So for example i have 1HDMI, 1DVI, and 1DP to DVI connected to my card. This gives me eyefinity because i have 3 different ports utilizing its very own signal for each monitor.
