Hi everyone, if you are looking for your nVidia GPU optimal & recommended settings for Crysis 3, nVidia has released a program called GeForce Experience http://www.geforce.com/drivers/geforce-experience

Program works well and will automatically make the setting for your based on your nVidia DX11 GPU

Also, if you are experiencing a dxgi_error_device_removed CrysisEngine3 display error, you need to up your GPU voltage by 0.10 - 0.15 volt increment. The GPU bios may round it off to its tier voltage settings which is ok. Not sure about AMD cards but you can try upping voltage if you experience the same error

Start down loading so ya dont have to deal with an over burdened surver later at release

I dont know if I am just unfortunate not to catch the clan on the server at night, but is there a specific day and time that everyone is on the server ? I surely miss playing with you all, and then having to go back to C2 to satisfy my thirst.

Trying to stay clear from TS due to some domestic concerns, hope my logins still work when I get off of house arrest here  HeHe

Clan, I am sorry that I have absent form TS for months now. I had to step away cause of tensions from the wife when using TS. Everyone should know where to find me, of course C2. Its sad many of you do not like C2 for us to play together. I waited so long for this game and now striving to perfect my game play. I still proudly carry the clan tag and will continue doing so. I havent forgotten about any of you, and I miss playing as a team.

I will be returning to TS soon when the atmosphere at home calms a bit. You know where to find me (Sultaan) on C2 if you wanna run couple of maps with me. Talk to you all soon....

So it seems at the end of the SP campaign, Crysis 2 is merely a prelude to Crysis 3

Above is a pic of the end of the SP campaign. The SP campaign was played @ 1920 x 1080 on Extreme. Average frames 90-140 3D disabled; 80-120 frames enabled. I played half of the game in 3D. It took about 18 hours to finish the campaign.

System Specs:

AMD Phenom II X4 970 4.Ghz OC
Corsair Dominator GT DDR3 8GB 1600Mhz OC (BEMP Support)
MSI NF980-G65 Mobo
MSI N580GTX in SLI
WD VelociRaptor 10K RPM HDD
Samsung 46" 9000 LED HD/3DTV

Will replay campaign again, all of it in 3D, when DX11 rolls out.....whenever that maybe ?

Crysis 2 General Discussion / Crysis 2 in 3D
February 08, 2011, 12:33:29 PM
Last night I decided to test my 3D TV and setup. So I launched the Avatar game. Went into the display settings and enable Stereoscopic for 3D viewing. Man, I was begining to think the whole 3D fanaticism was going to waste. I was not pleased at all with 3D in COD and BF2.

3D in COD and BF2 was ok but no like WOW  Whoo  of what you expected 3D to be in a game. SO I launched Avatar and almost struck with worse diappointment as I couldnt get the darn 3D to work properly.  smash

I am going through settings on the 3DTV, reading manuals like a fruit loop. Couldnt find Nada... So I went back into the display setting of Avatar after 2 hours and there was more 3D settings, Duh me.

As soon as I selected the correct settings and returned to the game, OMG I was nearly knocked out of my chair, litterally leaves where like slapping me in the face. I gave my wife the glasses and she about screamed.

There was no mouse delay or slugishness. It was accurate movement. Seeing things in the distance was like I could jump through the TV. I thought to myself man I hope Crysis 2 is like this. So I googled it and found out that James Cameron was introduced to Crysis 2 3D and he was impressed with it. Just Google Crysis 2 Avatar and you will find tons of articles directly quoting Cevat Yerli.

If Crysis 2 3D is like Avatar or better, which struck the attention of the reputable James Cameron, we are in for some insane graphics expereince and long nights.

I will be updating this post when we have more hands on with the PC demo when released and the final launch of the game....stay tuned.

I asked a question in the middle of Crytek forum kindom. It seem Crytek did not aswer the question addressed directly to them but tons of Crytek and Crysis fans did by saying more than likely not. The Cryengine does not need an independance GPU as it is self dependent.

Hi everyone, I was able to get some game play on the Xbox demo release of Crysis 2 TIA. Technically PC players are not missing anything on the Xbox and you are going to gain a whole lot more.
As you enter the game there is no resemblance to the former Crysis. It is completely revamped. The sound affects and music introduction does get you hype. There is alot of what I call dark clayed or terminator tune like sound themes.
Took me a while to figure out the controls and what ability goes where. As far as on Xbox Cloak and Armor mode by default is the standard set abilities to the controller's trigger buttons. Speed and Strength modes are intergrated into the left and right analog sticks. Yes I got my you know what handed to me left and right. I believe alot of the players were using Keyboard and mouse to do the moves they were doing.
Here is whats new for us on all platforms. What would be called hacking on old Crysis is actually now part of the new Nanosuit abilites.

Strength mode is no longer standalone. It is interegrated in hand attacks and jump. The longer the hold on the button the greater the execution with limits,

In cloak mode, you can use speed mode, and strength abilites

In Armor mode, you can use speed mode, and stength abilities

Armor and Cloak do not combine

Combining these abilities does take a tole on your energy though.

You can graple wall ledges, and speed mode looks like how a vampire moves. FREEKY !

You cannot hear cloak anymore. The new Nanosuit is completely stealth. Shadows will give you away and abstract light reflection will also. However there is a custom class Nanosuit that can detect cloak by inferred in which you team players would find on their radar.

Run Sliding – a deadly and evasive move. Whoever perfects this ability will take lots of heads home. It's very hard to get an aim lock on someone perfoming this while sliding away, towards, or to the side of you. Naturally you will stop moving to try to get a better aim but that would be an error. Anyone with good eye movement / coordination with a mouse will own you all day. The counter move to a run slide is power jump while running.
Shooting someone in the back while they are running can hurt you extremely depending on the player you're attacking. If the player is running away from you and you are directly behind him shooting he can go into a slide and shoot in the reverse.

Graphics:

On the Xbox it was not all that great. Distructable objects have a limit to how much distruction you can do.  You can do a lot of damage to walls though.

The closer I looked it seems the true graphics in this game will be in 3D. The PC will with out doubt surpass the game consoles in graphics. Now, it was a demo so they may have reduced the graphics setting because the demo had to be downloaded.

What does FWE Clan need?

Being a clan you will have to work as a clan. You need a lead and you need to stick together. The solo stuff is out the window. Everyone cannot take the same class Nanosuit. A team with a variaty of Nanosuit custom classes will trumph a team that is only using one or two Nanosuit custom classes.
If you want to be the clan to out shine every other clan you must get rid of the solo mentality. One person's going off to do their own will put a whole team at stake.
You're going to need TS of course, and picking your lead who will say what need is and how to roll. I was stun by the leader ship with Xbox players and they held their ground. FWE clan should deligate the Nanosuit  custom class as starting point. Who is better at Sniping, Asualt etc

Nanosuit Combat Strategies:

Many of you who have played with or against me know how I play and what my strategies are. The new Nanosuit is just going to 3 fold those combat strategies due to the combo intergration.
I have expereinced some of you that only use one or two strategies, you going to have to raise this count. When engaged in front to front combat you're going to need Armor mode. I had the Xbox people going crazy because I wasn't falling on one or two shots. And I would take two or three of them to put me down even when I am horrible with anolog stick controll when it comes to FPS. Being that I couldn't aim shot to save my life I started punching people out forcing them to switch up their combat styles.

I was able to convert some of the article to text below. I was in BestBuy today getting a laptop bag and there is was at the front counter. The link Image of the front cover is below in PDF.

QuoteThe original Crysis had a lot going for it: a slew of force recon marines,
a bevy of awesome weapons and an amazing piece of kit, the vaunted Nanosuit.
Realizing that the Nanosuit had a ton of untapped potential, the team at Crytek upped the ante by making the suit more than just a cool piece of equipment.
This time around, your Nanosuit is in many ways a character in its own right.
With that in mind @GAMER recently
made the trek to Crytek's studio in Frankfurt, Germany to get some hands-on time with the game, now in its final stages of development, and meet the team behind this much-
anticipated sequel.
By now most gamers are aware of the basic storyline behind Crysis 2. There's an alien invasion and the game's protagonist, Alcatraz, along with a select group of other force recon marines, are forced to battle between two distinct enemies,
the aliens who've invaded Earth and the Cell, humanoid opponents who, like the force recon marines, are also battling the aliens.
Of course this is an oversimplification of the Crysis 2 story. Crytek actually hired veteran sci-fi author Richard Morgan to write the storyline. According to Morgan, "storytelling is about
humans." To that end he used Hurricane Katrina as somewhat of an inspiration for the story surrounding a now-devastated NYC. In a nutshell, he wanted the game, similar to the Hurricane Katrina story, to be "not just the catastrophe,
but what happened afterward_-human inability to cope with the situation. Additionally, Morgan's theory around game writing revolves around the player being forced to play catch-up. Simply put, you're dropped into a situation that's already in motion
and as the game progresses you begin to figure out why the Cell is shooting at you when they should be shooting at the aliens.
Additionally, since Crysis 2 is "all about the Nanosuit," the suit itself is in many ways also a character in the game. As the game progresses you'll come to realize that there's a mystery
surrounding the suit that's not unlike the mystery surrounding Cell. As the game progresses you'll learn more about both, and may be surprised by what you learn. The Stomp is a move that lets you kill a number of enemies.
In stealth mode, you can easily sneak up on those unsuspecting enemies.

Computer Monitors / Renegade's Wish list 3D Monitor
November 17, 2010, 12:28:55 PM

LN46C750

As you should know by now Crysis 2 will support Stereoscopic 3D. so I am planing on getting this monitor to go with the NVidia 3D Vision. This 46" monitor is 2MS rated and will obviously have to go on my wall....LOL ! Thus leaving more desk space. Some of you are wondering what V-Card(s) I am going to run this thing with ? Well I was aiming for 2 X GTX480 in SLI but now the GTX580 just came out so I am going to shoot for those.
